In the most recent episode of the Grit.org Podcast, Jen and I get to sit down with Jack O'Callahan, a Boston native that graduated from Boston Latin School and went on to play college hockey at Boston University. We discuss growing up in Boston and the principles and philosophies that helped shape him to become a collegiate, olympic, and professional hockey player. We also unpack details about the 'Miracle' season, parenting advice, and how Walter Payton helped him get his first career job after retiring from hockey.
It took over a year to get this interview to happen, and we were ecstatic to be able to sit down with one of the real life stars of my favorite sports story of all time. It did not disappoint! What was so incredible to experience and learn about Jack is not only his humility, but the values and principles that have been his guiding light throughout his life. You can feel his passion and dedication to adhering to good morals and values and the importance of being a good person and a team player in all that you do.
